New Features

We’re elevating your gameplay with new, exciting additions! This update brings updates to Clans and Feather Quest, among others.

• Clan Battles (more detailed information here)
  • From the battle on February 19 and onwards:
  • The matchmaking system has been reverted to matchmaking based on the total Clan’s Flock Power
  • Clan Leagues are kept as is, with the subdivisions and their respective rewards staying unchanged
    • This means clan rating only affects the Clan Leagues’ demotions and promotions
    • Because swords were connected to clan rating, swords are now replaced by your Clan’s Flock Power in various screens: the Clan Battle preview screen, the lobby menu, the defeat screen, and the Clan profile screen
    • On the victory screen, you will see swords. The swords shown here are only connected to your own Clan’s clan rating and, in turn, your Clan League placement
  • Auto Sign-up stays unchanged
    • Your Clan will continue to be automatically signed up for the upcoming Clan Battle–if your Clan has at least five members
  • ⚠️Please note that until updating to 3.27, you will still see swords everywhere! This is only a visual discrepancy and will be resolved for all players once 3.27 is forced. Thank you for your patience!⚠️
• Clan Battle Search System
  • Finding an active Clan is now easier! Enter the search criteria of “Active Clans” in the search system to find only active Clans
  • However, no matter what search criteria you use or don’t use, finding an active Clan from the search results will now be easier in general
• Tower of Fortune Save State
  • If you crash during your Tower of Fortune run, your Tower of Fortune progress will save and start from the same spot when restarting the game
    • Your save state will contain the rewards you’ve already received, with no changes to your current floor location or the cards there
  • The save state will not work if:
    • You’ve quit your Tower of Fortune run
    • Lost your rewards and quit before crashing
    • It’s been more than one hour since the crash occurred
  • ⚠️The Tower of Fortune Save State is being partially released and tested to some users before being released globally, meaning you might not receive the feature immediately⚠️
• Feather Quest
  • Introducing Feathers obtained in levels! Fly into them when you play through levels, and they’ll be added to your stash
  • If failing a Feather Quest run, your tower is automatically switched to another bird’s
  • Made general changes to the Feather Quest menu screen to improve your experience and understanding of the game mode
    • For example, you can now swipe between towers/birds instead of manually choosing one
• World Map
  • Implemented 34 new levels and six new boss levels. Welcome to Snotting Hill!
• Rulebreaking Cards
  • Added an info button that pops up on a rulebreaking card to learn how rulebreaking for that bird works
  • Rulebreaking cards are now clearly outlined with a visual effect in your deck
• Button Notifications
  • Reduced the size of exclamation marks next to buttons and made them static to minimize noise on the main screen
  • Notifications for Daily Challenge, King Pig Panic & Golden Challenge have been reduced in quantity
    • For example, attempting but not completing the Daily Challenge means the notification disappears
• Loading Improvements
  • World Map, Daily Challenge, and King Pig Panic have all received loading time improvements

New Features to Come

These features are currently being tested or planned to roll out globally soon! 

• Offline Mode
  • You will soon be able to play Angry Birds 2 offline!
  • ⚠️Offline mode will be released gradually as we monitor the technical performance. More information to come once Offline Mode is released globally!⚠️
• Rulebreaking Event
  • A new event to come related to Daily Challenge & King Pig Panic where bonus cards are turned into rulebreaking cards
  • If you complete the Daily Challenge and King Pig Panic, your rulebreaking card carries over to Mighty Eagle’s Bootcamp as an extra bird card

Bug Fixes

Here’s an overview of some of the bugs we’ve resolved for 3.27!

• Clan Battles
  • Resolved a visual issue with the battle preview screen showing incorrect winning points. The correct winning points are now shown everywhere in Clan Battles
  • Resolved an issue with being unable to leave your Clan. If you’re a Clan Leader and alone in the Clan, you can now leave the Clan as long as there is no ongoing battle that you’ve signed up for
• Miscellaneous
  • Resolved an issue where tapping on a hat in the Hat Shop that can be obtained through the current Hat Adventure caused Red to say the hat can be found in Tower of Fortune
  • Resolved an issue with the 50 Feathers in the MEB Shop to always show Silver’s Feathers

Known Issues

While we do our best to release updates without issues, some pesky bugs haven’t been squashed yet. Here, you can find an overview of what we’re currently working on.

• Clan Battles
  • A notification to claim rewards after a Clan Battle will pop up even if your Clan lost
  • A notification badge appears on the chat icon inside the Clan Battles feature but is missing from the home screen
• Hat Shop
  • Scrolling through Hat Shop might cause the game to crash
  • Some birds are not visible for some hat sets
  • The “Go!” button for buying the Atlantean Guard Hat Set or the Celestial Hat Set may be greyed out despite the hats being purchasable. Please note this is purely a visual bug!
• User Interface
  • Some assets in the game may overlap with others, such as the effect on rulebreaking cards or the “Swap bird” card overlapping with the fast-forward button
• Miscellaneous
  • When trying to access features of the game while offline, the game might crash instead of telling you to check your connection
  • The loading screen might flicker after unlocking a bird in the World Map
  • The hat purchased in Triple Hat Offer is visually replaced by Rainbow Feathers when purchased. Please note this is a purely visual bug!
