Angry Birds 2 April ’26 Update
Now Live!
The latest Angry Birds 2 Update is now rolling out! The April ‘26 Update includes some upcoming content, as well as a number of performance tweaks and bug fixes!
This update largely focuses on performance and bug fixes, while getting ready for some unannounced new features. These features will go live at a later date, so keep an eye on our social feeds for more info!
The April ‘26 Update (version 9.0.0) will become available to you in the next few days. While updating to this version isn’t mandatory yet, we highly recommend it to enjoy these improvements.
Update Note
You may have noticed that the latest version of Angry Birds 2 is called the April ‘26 Update, instead of the more expected “version 9.0.0”.
Last year, we made a change to our internal approach to version numbers, and this meant that a “full version” update happens every few weeks, rather than every few years. There was no change to the way we prepare and release updates other than the numbering system.
While our team is still using these version numbers internally, we’ve made a change to our release notes in response to your feedback. Version numbers can be a little confusing at times, so we’ll be naming updates (for example, this one is the April ‘26 Update) instead.
