Angry Birds 2 Update 4.0.0
What’s New!
Soar into action with Update 4.0.0, now live for you to enjoy! We’re bringing fresh experiences for both new and seasoned players, as well as a host of bug fixes and performance tweaks for your improved flinging experience.
This version will become available to you in the next few days, and while updating to this version isn’t mandatory yet, we highly recommend it to enjoy these improvements.
Noticed the name change? We changed the name structure to X.X.X to more clearly define when an update is major (such as this one–4.0.0), minor, or a patch required to resolve bugs, for example.
We also have even more coming very soon, and it’s pretty exciting stuff, so stay tuned!
New Features
We’re elevating your gameplay with new, exciting additions! This update brings several great new chapters to the World Map, among many other improvements.
- New Chapters
- We’re introducing some brand new chapters to the World Map! In total, we’re adding over 100 new levels (and 18 boss fights!) in version 4.0.0.
- Early Arena Experience
- Significant improvements have been made to the Arena experience for new players, for a smoother introduction, such as letting new players try out Arena with the birds they have unlocked so far.
- Technical Improvements
- We’ve applied a number of changes to improve stability and load times.
Bug Fixes
4.0.0 brings over 80 total bug fixes! Fixed bugs include:
- Hat Shop
- Resolved an issue where scrolling through the Hat Shop would cause the game to crash
- Trajectory Line
- The trajectory line is now better displayed when going through portals
- Rainy Levels
- The rain no longer becomes brighter every time a rainy level is restarted
- Audio
- The sound effects and music no longer become muted when moving to the next stage in Daily Challenge & King Pig Panic
- Two Pigs on One Floor in Tower of Fortune
- We know this has been a particularly frustrating issue, and we’re happy to confirm that this has now been fully resolved in 4.0.0, and the pigs have been tamed.

Known Issues
While we do our best to release updates without issues, some pesky bugs haven’t been squashed yet. Here’s an overview of what we’re currently working on.
- Offline Detection
- We’re working on an issue with the game detecting your device as offline despite having an internet connection. We hope to bring a full fix as soon as possible!
