Appearing from thin air, for the first time since 2022, a new hero has materialized in the Angry Birds 2 lineup. Meet Shade, the incorporeal infiltrator who is about to make life a living nightmare for every pig behind a stone wall.

Formerly known as the brilliant tinkerer Dahlia, Shade’s transformation is the result of a high-stakes experiment gone sideways. After meddling with a black pearl, a ghost orchid, and Gale’s Ancient Book, a magical explosion left her ghostly, monochrome, and gifted with a new special ability that defies the laws of physics.

Shade’s signature Spinning Slash ability is a total game-changer for your bird-flinging strategy. While the rest of the flock relies on momentum and impact, Shade can phase directly through solid matter and piggy defenses, appearing on the other side with a destructive slash attack. She moves unseen and unhindered, allowing you to bypass outer shells and strike at the very heart of a tower’s stability. For players stuck on stubborn levels, she is the ultimate problem-solver.

The hunt is on from now until May 7. Players who have cleared Saga Level 22 can recruit Shade permanently by collecting her feathers through special in-game events or through a purchase in the in-game shop. Once the event ends, this opportunity will vanish, so don’t let her disappear into the mist!
