10th Anniversary Memories Giveaway Contest Rules

This campaign is being organized by Rovio Entertainment Ltd, with an address at Keilaranta 7, 02150 Espoo, Finland (“Rovio”, “we”). By participating in the campaign, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these campaign rules as well as our social media code of conduct (“Rules”).

This campaign is not connected to or sponsored by any social media platform operator (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, or Discord). However, in addition to these Rules, you also commit to following the terms and conditions of the relevant social media platform when participating in this campaign.

Campaign Period

The giveaway contest will start on June 3 and end on June 19. The winner(s) will be selected on June 30.

Selecting Winner(s) and Communication

Ten winners will be selected from eligible entries by Rovio’s jury. Your odds of winning will depend on originality and relevance to the theme.

We will announce the winner(s) by posting on social media and contact them through Piggy Mail.

If we have reason to suspect a fraudulent entry or other breach of these Rules by a participant (e.g. entries made by automated or otherwise deceptive means), we reserve the right to reject such fraudulent participation. If we are unable to contact a winner within 3 days, we reserve the right to choose a new winner.

Prizes and the Number of Winners

Ten winners will receive 1,000 Gems and 8,000 Rainbow Feathers each, with an approximate value of 40 USD.

Please note that you need to have downloaded the Angry Birds 2 game (iOS, Android) in order to redeem and use the in-game prizes.

Prizes are personal and cannot be transferred to another or exchanged for money.

Who Can Participate

To be eligible to participate, you need to be at least 18 years old.

How to Participate

You can participate by submitting your original work on our Discord server “Rovio Gaming” in the #ab2-memory-giveaway-submissions channel. You must submit your entry in a written text format.

Your Warranties Regarding Campaign Material

By entering the campaign, you warrant that you have created the material you submit to participate in the campaign (“Campaign Material”). You understand and agree that you cannot submit Campaign Material created by others or which include the property of a third party (e.g. famous movie quotes or third party trademarks). You warrant and represent that you own all rights to your Campaign Material and that the Campaign Material does not infringe the law or the rights of third parties (including intellectual property rights and rights of publicity and privacy).

Our Use of Your Campaign Material, Likeness, and Personal Data

By participating in the Campaign and by posting the Campaign Material, you agree to give Rovio, without compensation, the right of use to your Campaign Material for Rovio’s marketing purposes. This right is sublicensable, transferable, perpetual, includes all media, and cannot later be revoked by you. 

Except where prohibited by law, you are also granting Rovio a sublicensable and transferable right to publish your name, and likeness (including your profile image) in any media in perpetuity for advertising, publicity, and operation/administration purposes. Rovio may further process your personal data to execute the campaign and to award the prizes. For further information on processing personal data, see our privacy notice.

Limitation of Liability

Rovio and its partners are not liable for any damage, loss or injury caused or claimed to have been caused by any participant taking part in this campaign. Rovio’s total liability to you shall not exceed the value of the prizes. 

Disputes

Unless otherwise provided in mandatory legislation, all disputes between you and Rovio shall be governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict of law provisions. You agree that any claim or dispute you may have against Rovio must be finally resolved by a court located in Espoo, Finland.

Changes to the Campaign

We may need to make changes to the campaign (e.g. to ensure regulatory compliance), which is why we reserve the right to change these Rules when needed. If we make changes to the campaign, its prizes, dates, availability or other significant aspects of it, we will announce these changes through the campaign marketing channels.
