Angry Birds Go! gets a complete overhaul!

This is a big one, folks – the odometer on Angry Birds Go! is ticking over to the big 2-0! Angry Birds Go! 2.0 brings a bunch of new features to the over the top downhill racing you know and love so buckle up, let’s take a tour!

Go! 2.0

First, you will notice that everything looks new and shiny. There’s a new main screen where you can find all of the stuff from the previous versions – plus some things that might not be so familiar. The main single player campaign is right in the middle, and you can leaf through the pages with the arrows on either side.

Ooooooo… shiny!

Other than the new coat of paint, here’s a summary of some new stuff going on under the hood in the new update.

New XP System – Earn XP by completing races in the campaign, and by upgrading your karts. More XP means higher level, which means your maximum energy level increases. Also, you earn rewards each time you level up!

Upgrading is different now. – Upgrade your karts by using parts, which you can earn in campaign races. You can also trade tickets or gems for toolboxes containing parts in the shop. Use these parts to add stats to your ride, and once all stats are maxed out, use a new blueprint to upgrade further! You can pick up blueprints by earning three stars in some races so be on the lookout.

New daily races – Play a special race every day and earn rewards. Coins, parts, tickets – all up for grabs!

Limited-time tournaments – Compete with friends for top scores in these races to earn a spot at the top of the leaderboard.

Since this is such a huge update, we’re basically looking at a brand new game, and unfortunately, that means game progress has to be reset for everyone. However, players will be reimbursed for their karts and progress with gems that you can use to get a head start in AB Go! 2.0.

Once you update and log in, you should see a nice little pile of gems in your total if you had made significant progress in the previous version of Angry Birds Go. If you have any questions about this, or anything else here, or just anything in general, you can contact our support team who will be glad to help you out.

Happy racing!
